Hi, I'm Seán. Welcome to SMK Marketing.

Like many, I was hit quite hard by the pandemic lockdowns during the summer of 2020. After being made redundant from my previous job with a large car company,

I struggled for months to find something new. I spoke to friends, family, recruiters, my physio, even my dog, and realised that many smaller businesses are actually thriving during the pandemic despite the restrictions, and may be in need of professional marketing for their products and services, but don't quite have the means to be employing full-time Marketing staff or working with a large corporate agency.

That's where the idea for SMK Marketing came from (SMK being my own initials). I realised with my more than 10 years' marketing experience, I could provide these marketing services to SMBs at a much lower cost than hiring someone full time, or spending a small fortune on agency fees.

I have all the necessary experience to help other SMB's and Sole Traders with their marketing campaigns. I have a Degree in Business and Marketing from DCU, and a Level 9 Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute. I am also a registered member of the Digital Marketing Institute.

Over the past 10 years, I have garnered work experience in several different areas relating to Marketing. My time working in companies like Facebook and Accenture, as well as other large multinationals and even smaller, local, Wicklow- and Dublin-based marketing and finance start-ups, has given me a wealth of experience in creating, curating, managing, editing, and reporting on digital marketing and advertising campaigns.

I also have several years of experience in events management. I worked for 98FM's events crew in Dublin for several years and I am also a current event crew member of the annual Gumball 3000 Rally. Pandemic restrictions allowing, I hope to be able to offer event management services to clients very soon.
